worked for them until last week. It ended because the company was expanding its
office abroad. I knew the fact that since I am a contractor, it’s easy to let

<span style="font-family: "Arial","sans-serif"; font-size: 9.5pt; mso-fareast-font-family: "Times New Roman";">So,
I was always looking for a better opportunity, and taking tests constantly.

my case, I suggest to keep looking even though you get a good work at home job.
It’s always good to be prepared!

<span style="font-family: "Arial","sans-serif"; font-size: 9.5pt; line-height: 115%;">I just checked NEC’s website, and I couldn’t find the
refund statement regarding the kit.

<span style="font-family: "Arial","sans-serif"; font-size: 9.5pt; line-height: 115%;">I’m not sure if they still have the refund
policy for the kit, I mean when you finish it.

<span style="font-family: "Arial","sans-serif"; font-size: 9.5pt; line-height: 115%;">They said when I completed so
many products, I would get a refund of my initial expense.

<span style="font-family: "Arial","sans-serif"; font-size: 9.5pt; line-height: 115%;">They had it on their
website before, but now it’s gone.

<span style="font-family: "Arial","sans-serif"; font-size: 9.5pt; line-height: 115%;">Personally, I have found other online jobs, so I no
longer work for NEC.

<span style="font-family: "Arial","sans-serif"; font-size: 9.5pt; line-height: 115%;">But, I have tried to get my refunds for the products
because I completed what they said was the minimum for the refund.

<span style="font-family: "Arial","sans-serif"; font-size: 9.5pt; line-height: 115%;">Now, all I
get is the runaround.

<span style="font-family: "Arial","sans-serif"; font-size: 9.5pt; line-height: 115%;">I have the original receipts, so I sent a letter first,
but no response.

<span style="font-family: "Arial","sans-serif"; font-size: 9.5pt; line-height: 115%;">So, I called them many times, but all I hear is “The owner is
busy right now. We’ll call you back.”

<span style="font-family: "Arial","sans-serif"; font-size: 9.5pt; line-height: 115%;">And they did, but it was not the owner,
and the person who called didn’t know about my situation so much.

<span style="font-family: "Arial","sans-serif"; font-size: 9.5pt; line-height: 115%;">Lastly, I sent
2 emails with copies of the receipts, but I‘ve never heard from them.

<span style="font-family: "Arial","sans-serif"; font-size: 9.5pt; line-height: 115%;">When I
was working for them, they still had a refund policy, so I was sad that they
ignored me.

<span style="font-family: "Arial","sans-serif"; font-size: 9.5pt; line-height: 115%;">Other than this problem, I liked making crafts for them.

<span style="font-family: "Arial","sans-serif"; font-size: 9.5pt; line-height: 115%;">Now, I’m too tired to deal with it, so I just let go, and
moved on.

<span style="font-family: "Arial","sans-serif"; font-size: 9.5pt; line-height: 115%;">I still feel that NEC is a legitimate company, but some
of their policies or managements need to be changed.

Here is the link for the site-> Key For Cash.

I heard that this is a very popular job opportunity, so there are a lot of people on the waiting list. But, it's free to join, so I went ahead and registered.

After the registration, you need to take a typing test. Whoever has higher accuracy and speed in typing skills gets a better and faster chance to start working, so it's kind of important.

You can retake it as many times as you want, so you don't have to get stressed out.

After I took the test, I completely forgot about Key For Cash, but about six months later, I got an invitation email from Key For Cash.

Some people get an invitation sooner, and some people get one later. It depends on the skill of the applicants and the demand of work.

So, I started to work for them. The pay varies, but about $.30 per 1000 characters.
There are some instructions that you need to follow, but it's really a simple data entry job.LilyCathttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15396182561429744083noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5824583843990106958.post-47665717809891066052011-07-06T17:28:00.003-05:002011-07-07T12:18:57.507-05:00Online Survey: SurveySavvy.comHere is another online Survey: SurveySavvy.com.

It's free to join.

After you join, they will send you invite emails whenever they have surveys for you.
In order to increase survey opportunities, they recommend that you complete "My Portrait". You don't get paid completing these questions, and it's kind of a lot of questions. But, we can answer these questions whenever we want. It's not mandatory.

In the invite email, they show you how much you will earn clearly, which I like about this site. Sometimes, I get confused how much points are worth how much money!!

There are many fun surveys, too. For example; sometimes, you are taking a survey to enter into a sweepstakes for big money!

Online surveys are a lot fun, and we can make money while we give our opinions.
Of course, you don't have to take them all just because they ask you to. We can choose the surveys we want to take.

These online surveys won't make you enough money to support a family, but if you start taking surveys from many websites, it will make you some good extra money.

Enjoy!LilyCathttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15396182561429744083noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5824583843990106958.post-28419999438469725932011-03-28T14:07:00.007-05:002012-02-07T15:06:48.906-06:00I've been working for New England Crafters & Magical Gift Company for a little over 3 years now...I've been working for New England Crafters for a little over 3 years now...

I posted about NEC before (click here & here to see older posts), but I thought that I needed an update for them.

Here goes:

I will not say it's the perfect job opportunity for everyone since I can't make much money from it. But, I do get paid and I'm still happy working with them!

The positives are:
1. I can work from home.
2. I can get help from NEC by phone or email.
3. The job is year round.

The negative sides are:
1. The shipments are slow.
2. I have to buy a couple of things to complete projects. Ex) Glue gun, glue sticks, spackle, etc.
3. I can't choose the amount of products to complete.

These are my top 3s.

I really like how NEC treats each crafter's concerns.
One time, I was a little bit anxious and upset about the amount I received.
After 2 years of work, I was still receiving 100 wool sheep projects, but I was making them perfectly and on time, which NEC complimented on.

It was hard to complete projects by the due date, but I stayed awake late and made them so that the amount would be increased.
I wanted to make it up to their maximum amount as soon as I could!! But, it never happened.

So, I first called them about that, but the person I spoke to didn't have the authority to change the amount, and the owner wasn't in town at the time. But, the person was going to call the owner, ask her, and get back to me.

It didn't go well. It just went back and forth couple of times, and I decided to send an email to the owner, so I wouldn't have to bother NEC workers. And hopefully, the owner would give me time whenever she had a spare moment. (I know that the owner is extremely busy.)

About 5 days later, the owner responded to my email with a complete explanation which she said that it's the demand of the projects which determines how many I can produce.
Also, she offered me a full refund if I was still unhappy with them.

Of course, I was happy with them and still work for them.
Like in my case, sometimes it is hard to reach the right person. But, I eventually got my answer.

Some people might get upset that it's not fast enough to get a response. I think it's good considering NEC receives phone calls and emails from customers & crafters all over the US.

I was approved on 6 projects, and I'm working on 1 project to be approved, but I don't make 3 of them anymore due to the demand of the projects. NEC sent me replacement projects.
But, of course, I have to go through the inspection before I can start working on them. The kit is free (replacement projects), but it's a bit sad. (I worked hard to be approved on them!!!) Well, the projects never bore me, though!

NEC always tries to keep everything clear which is why they strongly recommend reading their policy before people start working on their projects.

I never felt that I was ripped off at all.

The beggining is definitely the most difficult part. I practiced a lot of times. Now, I can make them fine!

I hope that their forum will be back soon. I didn't really use it, but I think it's good opportunity to get help and talk to other crafters.

I hope this article helps some of the people who are considering working for NEC!LilyCathttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15396182561429744083noreply@blogger.com17tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5824583843990106958.post-88728957999025171842011-01-20T13:56:00.003-06:002011-07-07T12:23:00.211-05:00Online Survey: Opinion OutpostThis is an online survey.

I joined Opinion Outpost about 3 months ago, and I love it!!

There is no fee to start. All you have to do is provide your opinion.

Here is the link to the site: Opinion Outpost

Whenever they have a survey for which you are qualified, they will send you an invite email. I receive about 3 invite emails per day.

Each survey takes from 15mins to 40mins. Depending on the survey, the points vary. But I receive about 10 points to 40 points each. 10 points are worth $1. After you reach 50 points ($5), you can redeem them in the form of a check.

As they mention on their website, it takes 4 to 8 weeks to receive your check by mail.

Also, if Opinion Outpost feels that you’re not qualified or for any reason they don’t want to pay you, they will let you know immediately so you don’t waste your time.

In order to get more surveys, it is important to complete member profiles. This was the one that took me a long time, and this does not count towards points. After I completed the profile, I started to receive more surveys, so it’s definitely worth doing it.

Some of the surveys are a bit boring, but a lot of them are fun!
I hope that you’ll enjoy them!LilyCathttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15396182561429744083noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5824583843990106958.post-56578852949924813562010-10-04T13:46:00.010-05:002012-02-07T15:18:11.937-06:00Disciple’s CrossHave you ever heard about Disciple’s Cross?
I haven’t tried this company yet, so I can’t say if this company is good or bad.

Disciple’s Cross official site is here.

This company offers work at home crafting jobs. The product is a wired cross necklace.

The starter kit is $69.95. After the crafter passes the trial(s), he/she is required to purchase the materials from their company. And, the company buys back the finished products from the crafters. Of course, the finished products need to meet their quality standards.

I find pros and cons about this job opportunity. If you could give me some tips about this place, I would really appreciate it!!

*** Update ***
I’ve been trying to find out more about Disciple’s Cross, but I can’t find many good things about them. Most of the good comments were too old. It seems like they had a good business, but got kind of overwhelmed.

They state that they will reimburse the full cost of the starter kit after you make and they accept 400 crosses. That’s a good point because $69.95 is not cheap at all!
But, it’s too risky to try out now.

So, here is my opinion: (This is just my guess only!!!)
I think this company is not for me.
I can handle the difficulty of making crafts, but it make me worried about the reliability of communications with the people at the company. It’s fine that they can’t answer my question right away, but I want them to answer eventually (within 2 weeks or so).
There are a lot of unsolved complaints reported on BBB as well.

I know that the owner is a famous person: Pastor John Raymond, who joined the CBS show Survivor (Thailand). And, most of the people think that he has no reason to scam people. I don’t think that this company is a complete scam, but I still trust the BBB’s rating of Disciple’s Cross: F.

BBB Disciple’s Cross : http://www.bbb.org/new-orleans/business-reviews/work-at-home-companies/disciples-cross-in-slidell-la-18005385/LilyCathttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15396182561429744083noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5824583843990106958.post-34474597729025846862010-03-31T17:56:00.004-05:002011-07-07T12:31:03.350-05:00Update: freelancer.comI posted about freelancer.com website before. And, it's more easy to find the perfect match!

freelancer.com website is here.

It's free. In order to bid on a job, you have to register. That's all!

After that, search jobs from the listings. It's very easy to use. When you bid, you want to promote yourself in the private message (PM).

* I posted about bidding before. Please check here (Thursday May 28, 2009): http://floridalifelilycat.blogspot.com/2009/05/to-bid-successfully-on-projects.html.

When you are chosen, freelancer.com asks you to pay $5 to them. You can use their website money transfer system to pay the money. If you were not chosen, you don't have to pay anything. Freelancer.com sends you an email about the details when your bid is chosen.

If you do a good job, you can receive positive feedback from the employer, and more job opportunities may come.

Some of the jobs require skills, but some of the jobs do not; for instance, data entry, captcha entry, craigslist ad posting, etc.

freelancer.com has a lot of jobs, so I think that you'll find the best match for you!

PS: I have NO relationship at all with freelancer.com, other than having sometimes bid on jobs!LilyCathttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15396182561429744083noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5824583843990106958.post-77572027291308574902010-03-25T12:45:00.006-05:002011-07-07T12:32:24.598-05:00Forum Comment Posting JobSometimes, you see people leave comments relevant to the subject, but not quite match the subject in this website comments

category. They are either promoting their own website, or promoting other's as third party.

I did this job before as well. I found this job opportunity from freelancer.com.

*** I posted about the freelancer.com website before. Please check here to read about this website more(Tuesday May 19,

2009): http://floridalifelilycat.blogspot.com/2009/05/getafreelancercom.html

Also, I am going to post updates about freelancer.com. Some of the things have changed now: Especially, the price! *** --> Here

I thought that this was easy. I got a job that the compensation was $1 per post. I thought, 'that's not too bad!'. If I post

100 comments on different websites and forums, I'd get paid $100!

But, it is kind of hard! Because, a lot of bloggers do comment moderation, and try to avoid third parties from promoting

other things.

What you have to do is post comments along with html to boost their visiters. Of course, many of the blog hosts do not accept

that, it's comsidered spam. So, what you do is comment relevant to the subject and include html. Maybe, blog hosts will

accept your comments.

I didn't really like this job, though. Because, besides comment moderation, some of the blogs ban the posting of html. In my

website, I didn't care so much before. But, I don't like too many promotion comments. Because, this website was meant to

create and share the good & bad experiences of work at home opportunities, not for the promotion for my business or any

others. So, I felt bad when I had to post other websites as a third party.

Freelancer.com has tons of job opportunities, and some of them are easy , but like this comment job, it could be difficult.
I thought this job was more tricky than craigslist ad posting jobs. So, when you bid, be careful! You don't want to bid too

cheap for this position! (I think $1 per comment is fair.)

Well, I have to moderate comments in this website, too. Of course, comments are always welcome, and I really appreciate those

of who posted their experiences here. Thank you!:)LilyCathttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15396182561429744083noreply@blogger.com5tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5824583843990106958.post-32044027884800058232010-03-02T13:36:00.007-06:002011-07-07T12:28:18.004-05:00Update: Angel Pin Creations ***SCAM***Finally, they have to face up to their deceptive business practices!!!
This company received $832,000 per year by scamming people!

I can't believe that...
I am so sorry for the people scammed by them.

ABC news reported about them as a scammer as well!
ABC news -> http://abcnews.go.com/GMA/ConsumerNews/avoid-employment-schemes/story?id=9983046

Also, I posted about them before in this website (June 13, 2009) : http://floridalifelilycat.blogspot.com/2009/06/angel-pin-creations-big-scam.html.

Thank you for all who posted comments there. But, my husband said that I should search comments regarding this company first. I just wanted to get started as soon as possible (you might know this feeling: I wanted to start quickly, so I can get approved soon and get paid!!).

So, my husband searched the internet about this company and it turned out that this company had A LOT of complaints!

Luckily, I wasn't scammed. So, I think that even though it looks legitimate, or other people say it's legitimate, you have to check it on your own before you get started.

Hopefully, scammers will close their businesses, but it takes long time to gather the complaints, and by the time people realize it, it's too late and the scammers have moved on.

Good luck!! :)
LilyCathttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15396182561429744083noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5824583843990106958.post-25544566451323976092010-02-05T11:24:00.003-06:002011-07-07T12:33:08.005-05:00Be a Language Teacher through "Skype"I found that many people from all over the world look for a teacher to learn English.

The average rate of the lesson is $10 per hour.
Some countries charge $80 per 40 minutes for a face to face lesson (it's a lot!).

Sometimes, students look for a professional lesson, sometimes they look for a conversational lesson.
Skype is free to all, you just need to have a headset microphone.

Skype site: http://www.skype.com/

Luckily, I found one student who wants conversational lessons once a week.

It's not that much money, but if you have free time, internet access, and a headset microphone, it might be worth a try.

But beware, some people look for a language friend or partner which costs zero to both of you to learn languages, and you exchange the lesson with your partner.LilyCathttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15396182561429744083noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5824583843990106958.post-51427585840571211732009-08-22T13:05:00.003-05:002012-02-07T15:06:20.461-06:00My Opinion Regarding Magical Gift Company...I read couple of articles about Magical Gift Company and surprised how many people think that this is a slave labor!

The projects are difficult to make and in the beginning, it will take you many many many times to make a satisfactory piece, as everyone knows.
But I'm still happy to work for them and there are many reasons why I like this company.

So, I decided to tell you about my experience with them.

Last summer, I decided to order one kit (Wool Sheep).
When I got the kit, I realized that I needed a glue gun to make the sheep.
I didn't wanna buy an expensive one because I was still skeptical about this company, so I went to Walmart and bought a normal and 'affordable' glue gun (fine point one).

I started to make it, but it was sooooo hard!
Of course, I didn't pass the first time.
Then, I practiced wrapping the wool many times. However, I still didn't pass the second time, either.

So, I practiced more! Every day, I just practiced wrapping over and over!!
I wrapped it, unwrapped it, wrapped it...
It was very frustrating.

And then, I sent the third sample in. I passed it!! It took me about 3 months from when I first received the kit!

After that, I received the materials to make 10.
I was so happy that I could finally make some money with this wool.
But, this first 10 was very difficult, too.
It took me a week to finish!! Moreover, NEC said that the legs were too long and the heads were too big. :(
If you have made some mistake, your total shipment amount won't be increased, so I received 10 materials 3 more times after that.

I was thinking that I wanted to make $450, but I'm just making only $10 and spending a week for only $10!!!

I'm sure that everyone will think about this like me.
Even if you could pass the trial, you can't make money so easily.

Like I mentioned in the previous posts, hang in there! Don't quit yet!!

When I received materials for 50, I started to think what is the best way to make these as fast as possible and as neat as possible.

At this time, I stopped thinking about their instructions.
I made my own way to make sheep.
The difficult part is to wrap the wool. At that time, it took me an hour to wrap 1.
You know, it's funny. After I made my list, I started to improve my skills!
I could wrap 3 in an hour.

Now, I can wrap 5 or 6 in an hour.
It's been about a year since I started this crafting.
I listen to my favorite songs while I'm making sheep. I don't watch TV because I hate to be distracted by watching.
I'm sure that I will be able to wrap 10 or more next year.
That's why I am strongly telling you not to give up just after a couple months!

The first couple months, I think most of the people who try the crafting quit.
I was not good at crafting at all.
Actually, I hated crafting to be honest with you...
But, here I am! I am a crafting worker! I make some awesome pieces, too!
And also, I've never bought their DVDs. I didn't want to spend money to start working.
Don't worry, I can make it without the DVDs, you probably can, too!

Since I was approved as a sheep crafter, I ordered more projects one by one. Now, I am approved for a total of 5 projects. Then, I can solve the problem of waiting a long time for materials between projects. :)

Actually, they keep me pretty busy. In the beginning, each project made me nuts, but it will be fine as I make more of them. (I'm not planning to add more because 4 or 5 projects are enough to cover the waiting time!)

I still use the same glue gun I bought last year.
Some people buy many brands to find the good quality one, but you really don't need to do that.
Plus, the cost of supplies will be covered by the company. In the forum, you might see some people buy extra supplies to make projects. Each crafter has their own way to make them. I don't buy any extra materials because if the supplies are short, I simply call NEC and they'll send the supplies right away.
You can minimize your costs like me.

I didn't use the forum or call the company to get help for the sheep, but I could make it.
Of course, you can get help from the, they have a great forum, and I like it. They have great customer service, too.
After I started to make sheep, I realized what the people at NEC like or dislike, so the other projects were easier to pass.

It takes time to get used to it.
That's why I wouldn't call it slave labor.

*** Sorry. I tried to keep it short, but it's too long!!LilyCathttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15396182561429744083noreply@blogger.com6tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5824583843990106958.post-46418753431208352562009-08-11T09:54:00.002-05:002009-08-11T19:00:18.916-05:00InformIf you have any questions, comments or whatever, please feel free to post. Some Internet providers change your IP address regularly. This is called a dynamic IP address. Some Internet providers keep your IP address the same. This is called a static IP address. With cable internet, it's common to have a dynamic IP address. With DSL or dial up Internet, it is static. Your IP address is recorded when you shop online or post comments or articles to online forms or blogs. Also, many online classified sites, like Craigslist, record your IP address, so it's easier to find spammers or people who post duplicate ads.

When I started posting ads on Craigslist, I didn't even need a phone-verified account. I just needed to put in my email address, and Craigslist sent me a message to post my ads. However, at some point, I couldn't post ads without a phone-verified account even if my ads were in the for-sale category ( Some categories need phone-verified accounts, such as the service category.)

===> This is because Craigslist identified me as posting more than I should by my IP address.

Some companied sell programs that switch your IP address around so that you can keep posting on Craigslist. I tried a few free programs but they were really complicated and it didn't work out very well. If you want to get software that supposedly changes, switches, or "randomizes" your IP address, be very, very careful. If you pick the wrong one, expect to be on the phone with and be hand-held by your ISP's customer service while they get you back online. A word to the wise.LilyCathttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15396182561429744083noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5824583843990106958.post-2343762754986684062009-07-28T09:29:00.005-05:002011-07-07T12:32:48.026-05:00How to determine if your ads are flagged by Craigslist or normal peopleYou might wonder if it's really important to know why your ads are removed from Craigslist.

If you are working as an ad poster, you really want to find out why.

First of all, ad removal affects your phone verified account.
If you get too many flags, your account will be stopped quickly even if the account is a newer one.
So, the best thing is to know how to keep your account active and safe.

You will get notice by Craigslist if your ads are removed by the Craigslist admin., assuming they are not ghosted(which means that your ads appear to be fine, with no notice, but they don't show up on CL ad pages).
It simply says that your ads are removed from the lists.
This means, your ads are too easy to be determined as duplicates.
In this case, take great care to change your ads!!
Because shortly, Craigslist will stop your account.

If your ads are removed by normal people, you won't get a notice at all.
It'll just be removed, or flagged for removal.
But, this means, your ads will be flagged for some reason in Craigslist soon.
Those ads removed by normal people are not as important as removed ads by Craigslist, they can flag them for any reason, basically. I had a guy that I found out was flagging my ads because he was posting ads for a competing product! There are a LOT of haters and self-appointed CL cops on craigslist, beware!
However, if you get too many removed by other CL users, Craigslist will also stop your account.

Now, you see the trick.
The removal from Craigslist means, you have to change your contents soon.
The removal by other users mean that you're being warned. You need to change the contents if you get too many flags.LilyCathttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15396182561429744083noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5824583843990106958.post-68184522640024355512009-07-07T12:34:00.004-05:002012-02-07T15:20:19.737-06:00WAHM.comI think that everyone knows about this site.

WAHM.com is here.

I won't say that all of the jobs that this site lists are good, but this site has a very good forum, so you can post and get help from other people.

Whenever you worry about some companies, just go there and search if other people have posted about them.LilyCathttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15396182561429744083noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5824583843990106958.post-38355336833726650992009-07-06T19:01:00.005-05:002011-07-07T12:33:39.954-05:00How to post the same ad on Craigslist??If you don't know about HTML code, this is the way to post the same ads on Craigslist.
I think that you already know that Craigslist prevents duplicates. You cannot post the same ad even if you change the states, cities, countries, etc.
When I started to post ads, this was a big problem because Craigslist's system reads & scans the first and second sentences you post, as well as other parts (which change frequently).

So, you really don't need to change other sentences, what you need to change is the first & second sentences.
Now, it becomes a bit easier!
You simply post easy greetings if it is difficult to make extra sentences; for example, "Happy holidays!"
However, sometimes they don't read the exclamation mark "!" and question mark "?", but only the period ".".

If they didn't read those, change the sentence to "Happy holidays."

You can also change around the placement of both sentences.

For example, if you post "Happy holidays! Are you looking for a great deal on a car?"

The next post, you can do "Are you looking for a great deal on a car? Happy holidays!"
Sometimes, this will come back as a duplicate, but it still works sometimes.

Also, if you have some pics you are posting, it is possible to be "ghosted".

(Ghosted ads mean the ads are gone even though your accounts show that your ads are successfully posted. You can't find your ads on Craigslist, either.)

I think it's because of the same pics.
Does it sound like too much work to post ads?

No worries.

Craigslist's system searches for duplicates from Monday to Sunday.

This means, you can't use the same sentences for a week; however, you CAN post the same sentences that you posted a week ago.

So, Monday is always the easiest day to post ads :)LilyCathttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15396182561429744083noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5824583843990106958.post-76361969359154010142009-07-05T16:09:00.010-05:002012-02-07T15:05:57.522-06:00Is New England Crafters (Magical Gift Company) a Scam? Many people worry if Magical Gift Company is a scam.

This is a real job.

You get paid for what you work. However, you don't get paid that much.
Once, you are approved as a crafter, you receive more materials.
Many approved workers struggle at this time because the products take too much time, even for just 10!
Some crafters can take 2 to 3 days to make 10, but some workers take up to a week.

It's very difficult. NEC is a real company to sell what you make, so they always need good products and workers.

Of course, you can make it! But you need to make all of them perfect otherwise, your products will be rejected and you won't get paid.

This company, NEC, is very legitimate, and has great customer service. If you need help or have questions, you can call New England Crafters or go to their forum. They have a great forum for the crafters who need help to get approved.

However, there are many complaints for this company.

Why?
Because, many people realize that they won't get paid as much as they want (If it takes 2 days to make 10 $1 projects, the pay is $5 a day), or they can't pass their inspections for a long time, etc.
It could be many reasons.

They never say to quit because you can't pass. Some crafters require doing the inspections over 7 or 8 times before they are approved and start to work. You also have to wait until your inspection comes back. It takes about 2 to 3 weeks. If your inspection was approved, you'll see your name on their "Newly Approved Assemblers" list.

For me, this job is not for everyone who is looking for a work at home opportunity.
Then, who is good for this company?
Just go to their website and check it out.
You realize that the workers are either retired people, moms who need to stay at home for babies, college students, etc.
They are all busy doing something else.
This job is good for those people, I think. The workers are all happy that they can have a work at home opportunity including myself.

If you think you have a lot of time and can make many as a full time worker, just take a minute and think it over.
You really can't work with this company full time.
The company is always busy, so sometimes, the shippment for the projects don`t come for over a month.
Some people call this company up and try to hurry them, but they are going as fast as they can.
So, you really can't decide how much you can make in a month, it's really up to when you receive the shipment.
I would say this is a part time job.

Don't make a decision yet!
Once you are approved, and make 10 pieces, you realize that this is way too much.
I think you may have read a couple of websites about those difficulties.
Yes, during the first 10 pieces, and the next one, at first, you might think this is a slave job. (Because you get paid $1 for a piece, and it might take even 3 hours to make one! )
But, as you make their products, it will become easier and faster, so if you just started, hang on for couple months!

I always think these difficulties are nothing when you consider using gas to go to a job.
You have no boss and you don`t have to travel.
It's good for people who need a little extra money.

Some of the crafters have main full time jobs and work as crafters part time.
You can be at home at night and make products while listening to your favorite music or something.

You can also post and ask a question to real workers on their forum. They are all nice and love to help each other!
You just need to be patient with them. Very patient!LilyCathttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15396182561429744083noreply@blogger.com52tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5824583843990106958.post-73278492221396067192009-06-29T02:17:00.004-05:002011-07-07T12:33:56.503-05:00Phone Verified AccountAs you'll notice, you will need phone verified accounts to post massive amounts of ads and for some categories.

How and where you purchase them, then?
You can buy them on the internet.
They sell accounts.

As an example, see this site. ---> http://www.phoneverifiedaccounts.net/ ( I never bought accounts from this site!! I just posted this site as an example! )

It's kind of expensive. One account sells for $6 on this site. 10 accounts for $50!!
If you are an ad poster, you don't wanna do that...
I posted about GetAFreelancer before. ---> https://www.getafreelancer.com/
You can purchase accounts much cheaper here.
As a buyer you can post the ad there and people will bid on you. ( You can try it for free one time! )
* Before you decide to send money to the provider, please make sure that the accounts are active, because, some people are scamming and selling used accounts, inactive accounts, etc.

When you post the ad on GetAFreelancer, make sure you put "Western phone accounts only!" You don't wanna buy phone #s from overseas :)

It is wrong not to pay for the accounts, but it is fine to make sure everything is okay before you send the money.
Whenever I do jobs through the Internet, I make deals with providers so that we won't waste our time in some kind of disagreement.
Everyone knows that.
If someone says to pay first, or pay immediately, you really wanna make sure that everything is fine.

I was scammed a lot on providers like those!!
You might be scammed even if you take extra care, so just start with a small amount of money.

Many people at GetAFreelancer are buying 100s of accounts at once.
You can do that, but please be careful.
Like I did, you can find real providers.

LilyCathttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15396182561429744083noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5824583843990106958.post-50011079630620928122009-06-15T12:16:00.004-05:002011-07-07T12:34:07.660-05:00EzadposterEzadposter is a program to post ads on Craigslist automatically.
I used it a couple times.
Yes, it is easy. I admit that, however, Craigslist is not that easy. They change the system often so that they can prevent third parties from posting ads.

Although you really don't need an ad posting program, at some point, when you start to post a lot of ads, like 300 ads per day, you'll realize that it's impossible to manage posting by hand.

Ezadposter automatically posts ads for you.

I used Ezadposter deluxe.

First, set up your account information. You put your CL account in Ezadposter and some other things like categories. It's very simple and easy.

Second, you need content. Maybe, your provider will give you the content or you can make it on your own.
Whichever it is, you simply copy and paste entire ads in it.

Third, just click "start publishing" ( I forgot what it says. Because, I no longer use it. )

They start publishing ads; however, they can't automatically enter the capcha, unless you want to pay extra.

That's it!

If they successfully publish it, they will say success or something or other with a green color. But, if they failed, they will say fail or something with red... ( Sorry, I really forgot. )

If they failed, you just run the ads again.
It took me about 30 minutes to post 100 ads. But, the time for you may vary.
Because, I was posting ads so many times before that, my ads failed many times!
As long as you work as an ad poster, it would be difficult.

No worries!! There are many ways to deal with those difficulties!

Now, I wanna warn you about purchasing these kind of programs.
First go to the Ezadposter website. You can download an Ezadposter trial for free.
I believe that I could use it for a month or so...
Ezadposter is pretty expensive, so just trying the free program first would be good.

Plus, because CL keeps changing their system, one Ezadposter version won't last long.
I mean, my boss offered me Ezadposter (which he bought before but couldn't manage), and it didn't work for me anymore.

CL was able to identify his Ezadposter already so it blocked me out.
He said, he purchased it about 3 years ago It was the full version!
So, if you are thinking about purchasing Ezadposter, buy the most current one.
Be careful. I think there are many scammers trying to sell the old version, too.
Like I did, you might choose to go back to manual posting.

You have to be in front of the PC to type the capcha.

Ezadposter fails a lot, sometimes, so you might have to run it 5 or 6 times or more to post the ads successfully.
If you think positively, you can read a book while posting and simply type the capcha and get paid, it might sound good to you so check it out...

I don't want to say it's bad or good, because Ezadposter helped me a lot when I used the free trial :)LilyCathttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15396182561429744083noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5824583843990106958.post-6228502043255610582009-06-15T11:40:00.007-05:002011-07-07T12:34:19.066-05:00Post Ads on Craigslist & Tips I FoundAs I mentioned on previous post(May 23, 2009), Craigslist banned ad posters as a business.
So, they change the system often to prevent ad posters.

I'll tell you about my first ad posting job...

I started to post 20 ads per day at rate of $.50 per a post(manual), which $.50 per post is a really good deal... the average rate is $.10-.20. Rates do vary. It depends on which category you post, how many hours the ad needs to stay on Craigslist, Manual or Automatic, and so on.

My promise to my provider was to make a spreadsheet of ad links and send it to him everyday.
My posts must stay 48 hours and the flagged posts and ghosted posts were unpaid.

At this time, I didn't need a phone verified account to post ads in the sales category. You need phone verified accounts to post to the jobs category, service category, sexual category, and other categories!!

--->Be careful if posting in the sexual category!! It's extremely DIFFICULT!!!! ---> Why? How to post? --->Details are coming soon!

My provider sent me the ads he made, and I copied & pasted them on Craigslist.
However, you cannot simply copy & paste.
Craigslist prevents posting the same ads!!

--->How to post the same ad then??

So, I made $10 per day and I spend only 15 minutes to post all ads every day. Sweet!!

Some providers specifically prefer manual posts and those providers know that it is a bit expensive. But many of them do not care which way you post.

Manual posts are one of my niches, so I negotiated the rate with my provider.

My provider asked me to post more ads.

I started 50 posts at a rate of $.50. (Total earning $25 a day)

That wasn't so hard.

Then, the provider increased posts to 300 ads per day!

At the point, we negotiated about the rate, and decreased to $.45 per post. (Total of $135 per day. This is still a good deal!)
And he provided me Ezadposter which he bought it before and couldn't manage. I will post about Ezadposter soon, so I won't mention it here, but this program is a problem, too!
*** It is posted now! June 15, 2009***
---> Go to Ezadposter

Also, I needed phone verified accounts at this time. If you post too many times, even though you are posting ads in the sales category, you will be required to get an account.

---> Phone Verified Account.

This was a nightmare...

I had to spend all day posting the ads!!
Because, Craigslists deleted a couple of the ads as overposted, and people started to flag my ads!
You can tell the difference if the ads are flagged by Craigslist or normal people.

--->How?

You know attractive ads and unattractive ads.
People disregard ads posted many times.

I do. I don't flag them, but don't read them.

It started to do my ads. I got less responses, and my provider, of course, was unsatisfied with that.
So, we decided to reduce the ads to 60. (Because, there ISN'T a company!)

Please check the update also: http://floridalifelilycat.blogspot.com/2010/03/update-angel-pin-creations-scam.htmlLilyCathttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15396182561429744083noreply@blogger.com11tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5824583843990106958.post-55315136574867842482009-06-10T15:03:00.002-05:002012-02-07T15:05:18.245-06:00About Magical Gift Company...When you see Magical Gift Company's site, you might be excited thinking about how much you can earn per shippment.

It depends on which products you will choose, but it is not that easy...

Once, you are approved, you still need to be focused on high quality work.

They will reject the ones that the company thinks are low quality.

As you make approved products, and create high quality pieces, the amount of pieces that you can send in will be increased.
I started to work about a year ago, and for one type of product, I made a total of $230 so far.Yes, I earned $230 in a year on one product.

They pay per piece. ($1)
Some of you might say, this is a labor job.

Well... It might be.

But, it is still a legitimate work at home job, and you can make a little extra money.
Once, you can handle many products & make many pieces, this company can be a larger income source, though!!
LilyCathttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15396182561429744083noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5824583843990106958.post-68672779429887369692009-06-09T14:28:00.003-05:002012-02-07T15:04:56.502-06:00Magical Gift Company (Crafting Work at Home)I actually work for these people:
New England Crafters & Magical Gift Company
So, I know that this company is legitimate.
I like crafting, but the products they have are so difficult!!!

It took me to be 4 months to be approved for one product!!!Some people took more than 6 months!

Also, there is a starter fee...Yes, this made me worry at first.
Like other scams, I thought they'd take money and run away...

But, the starter fee ($49.95) is going to refund after you start working them and make 250 pieces.
And even though you bought this starter kit, you still need to buy some little things yourself; for example, glue gun, needle, thread, pens, etc. The only things you can buy that are pre-approved for reimbursement are paint and shipping costs.
(They clearly state this agreement in the policy.)
Some people might think Magical Gift Company is a scam because of this even though NEC strongly suggests that you read their policy.

The good thing is they never say quit because you haven't been approved.

It's an unlimited starter kit, also.
Some crafting companies require more fees after you use all the material!!!

The products are very cute, too!
And, the people who work for this company are very kind & helpful.
You can call them anytime and they will help you to improve your products and how to get approved.

They've also got 31 products!!
The products involve sewing, hand sewing, but also, they have non-sewing projects, too.

It is good for moms looking for a work at home job.LilyCathttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15396182561429744083noreply@blogger.com20
